The year 2014 marked the 100th birthdays of the two men who brought Superman to life and the man who brought Superman into our homes. A group of fans gathered in Los Angeles to celebrate these three great men: Jerry Siegel, Joe Shuster, and George Reeves. Bob Holiday, who had long looked up to all three of these men, sent his greetings. And fans got to meet another well-respected member of the 1950's cast: Jack Larson, the first Jimmy Olsen.

We all know that "It's a Bird It's a Plane It's Superman©" was staged on Broadway in 1966. But only the most die-hard fans of the show know that an adaptation was aired on ABC-TV in 1975. Anyone in show business makes a lot of show-business friends. Bob Holiday was no exception. He enjoyed meeting the original Batgirl at the 2003 Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois. In 2015, Bob was quite sorry to hear that Yvonne had passed away.

Five decades after “It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman©” premiered on Broadway, it continues to be revived. A major re-presentation was staged in 2013 and marked Bob Holiday's final public appearance. Read about this terrific production, and enjoy a video or two at the end of the article!

After a four year search to find Bob Holiday, writer Mark Edlitz finally reached Bob in 2011.  Mark interviewed Bob for Slice of SciFi.com, and the article made its way into Mark's 2015 book How to Be a Superhero!

In late 2010, www.SupermanBobHoliday.com went on hiatus. When we came back, there was just too much fun to talk about, so we made a video!

Before he was Superman, Bob Holiday was cast on Broadway in Fiorello! which starred Tom Bosley. When Tom passed away in 2010, Bob paid tribute to his old friend.
