Bob Holiday Featured at the 2003 Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL
The 25th Superman Celebration, held annually in (yes) Metropolis, IL, was excited to welcome Bob Holiday as one of
the honored guests. It had been many years since any of the actors who'd played Superman actually attended the Celebration.
This event catapulted Bob back into the public eye. A successful custom home builder who had long retired from show business, Bob was excited to
revisit the role he'd brought to life on Broadway. The website built by Steve McCracken allowed the "Superman Kids" who'd seen Bob on Broadway to
find him again. It was the beginning of Bob being accorded his proper place in Superman History.
Among the many activities during the Celebration, a panel discussion was held. The three best known panelists were Bob himself, Broadway's first
Superman; Yvonne Craig, Batgirl from the 1960's Batman television series; and Noel Neill, who played Lois Lane
in the 1940's movie serials opposite Kirk Alyn's Superman and in the 1950's Adventures of Superman opposite
George Reeves.
