Wish You Were Here
This photo is from the original run (June 1952 through November 1953) of Wish You Were Here. The show was known for being the first Broadway show with an actual swimming pool on the stage. The three characters in this photo, from left to right, are Chick (Jack Cassidy), Teddy (Patricia Marand), and Pinky (Paul Valentine). They form a love triangle with each man trying to win Teddy for himself. Complicating the situation, Teddy is actually engaged to be married to a stodgy businessman back home. Of course, Teddy and Chick fall madly in love, Pinky strives to woo Teddy away from Chick, and the stodgy businessman shows up to take Teddy home. In a surprise twist, the businessman returns Teddy and her suitcases to the camp. She and Chick rush into each others' arms, and true love wins again.
